Our story
It began with a question about shelter.
During humanitarian work in Lebanon, Diana Saleh saw how vulnerable temporary shelters could be to fire. The experience stayed with her and led her to explore the role of building materials in creating better shelter.
From a question

Later, while studying building construction in Denmark, Diana began developing the ideas behind Rumett. Gypsum and bio-ash became the basis of a mineral panel with its own exposed surface.
The work grew into a wider question: how could an interior surface remain useful when the space around it changed?

Rumett’s approach brings the visible finish and the method of fixing together. The surface is cast into the panel, and the screw connections are designed to be undone.
